Chief Executive OfficerIMPACT Community ActionAnne is a passionate social justice advocate with a keen focus on the systemic issues of poverty. This passion was sparked when she experienced poverty firsthand and experienced a helping system that was judgmental and often cruel. It was those experiences that compelled her to commit her career to changing the systems surrounding those experiencing poverty. Her current position at IMPACT Community Action Partnership puts her passion to work serving over 50,000 low-income families each year.
Anne received her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Iowa and a Master of Public Administration from Drake University. She has also completed over 30 credit hours in Community and Economic Development at Pennsylvania State University. Her professional experience includes work within the Community Action network, the Iowa Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church, and Bidwell Riverside Center. Anne is married to Brian and they make their home in Ankeny, IA. Purpose Statement: I am a purpose-driven leader who works to fulfill the promises of equity and inclusion. I fervently believe that essential needs (housing, food, physical safety) are basic human rights. |
