DetectiveWilliston Police DepartmentLexie Clark brings a wealth of knowledge and practical experience to her role as an Advisor for the Women in Leadership Program at the University of North Dakota. With an extensive background in criminology, law enforcement, and higher education, she provides a unique perspective on leadership, resilience, and professional development for aspiring women leaders.
Ms. Clark holds a Master of Science in Criminology from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Minot State University. Additionally, she earned a Graduate Teaching Certificate from the University of North Dakota, further solidifying her expertise in education and student mentorship. Her academic credentials, combined with her experience in both the classroom and the field, make her a strong advocate for empowering women in leadership roles. Currently serving as an Adjunct Instructor at Williston State College, Ms. Clark has developed and taught Introduction to Criminology, creating an engaging and dynamic learning environment. She leverages her experience as a Detective with the Williston Police Department, where she has conducted complex criminal investigations, worked with prosecutors, and played a key role in public safety and community engagement. Her previous role as a Patrol Officer gave her firsthand experience in crisis management, problem-solving, and public relations. With certifications in Criminal Investigations, Interview and Interrogation, and Forensic Interviewing, Ms. Clark is well-versed in analytical thinking, strategic decision-making, and ethical leadership—skills she imparts to the next generation of women leaders. Her ability to navigate high-pressure situations and collaborate across diverse professional environments serves as an inspiration to those looking to break barriers in male-dominated fields. |
